It uses a Fortitude system to manage party health and debuffs, which is preferred over standard energy-to-play mechanics found in many mobile titles. The commitment to a complex plot, fully voiced by a great cast, often makes one forget that it runs on mobile as well.
A key aspect is the gacha system for acquiring adventurers, which offers unique depth. Duplicates aren't wasted; players can use them for "discipline" to improve stats or "inherit" skills to give to other characters. This system, where even unwanted units are useful, provides compelling long-term character development, encouraging experimentation with varied party alignments and skills, all tailored depending on your playstyle and personalization.
Unfortunately, this title is hindered by its implementation as an always-online free-to-play model. The game requires a universal timer for certain progress and heavily pushes expensive gacha banners without a pity pull system.
